Edison2 – They get it

For years, I have been saying that when designing an electric vehicle, “Weight is everything.” It turns out for any vehicle, this is true. The people at Edison2 researched several types of vehicles and discovered this on their own. This team was put together specifically to win the Automotive X-Prize. The winners were announced recently, and they did it! In my mind, this proves the “weight is everything” design philosophy. Their vehicle got an average 102 miles per gallon! The first link below is to a video where they discuss their design philosophy and how they got to the point of figuring this out. (The first person that speaks on the video is the leader of the team).
Congrats to Edison2 on their win. I want one of these.
